Add-ons: what each one does and when to turn it on

Add-ons

The subscription is one plan: your site, your .names.legal address, unlimited pages and projects, and five team accounts. Everything else is an add-on you switch on and off from /cms/. You are billed for what is active, and turning something off stops the charge at the next period.

The advice below is about when, because turning everything on from day one is the most common way to pay for something you never configured.

Your own domain

Priced at checkout, because it depends on the extension. Turn it on when you want professional email, or when you print your address somewhere durable. DNS is configured for you; you do not need to touch a record.

Professional email — 4 CHF / month

Addresses on your domain. Requires a domain first — mailboxes live on one. Worth it as soon as you send quotes.

Invoicing — 9 CHF / month

Quotes, invoices and credit notes, with the Swiss QR-bill. Turn it on when you are still invoicing from a spreadsheet. If you already have an accounting package you are happy with, do not.

Appointments — 9 CHF / month

Online booking on your site, with your own availability rules. Worth it when you lose calls because you are working. Pointless if your work is quoted project by project rather than booked by the hour.

Telegram — 5 CHF / month · WhatsApp — 7 CHF / month

A chat button on your site, and booking alerts on the app you already watch. Choose the one your clients actually use — running both is rarely worth it. Both use your account: you keep the conversations.

Payments and media showcase — 6 CHF / month

Payment or support buttons on your projects and services, and a gallery of videos and documents. Useful when you sell something identifiable; less so for work that is always quoted.

API access — 15 CHF / month

Programmatic access to your content. Turn it on if you have a developer and a reason. If neither, leave it off — this one is genuinely for a minority.

Team seats — 5 CHF per seat / month, or 49 CHF unlimited

Five accounts are included. Beyond that, add seats one at a time, or switch to unlimited. The arithmetic tips at ten extra seats; below that, count them.

Turning one off

From the add-ons page. What you created stays in your database — turning invoicing off does not delete your invoices, it stops the module being available. Turn it back on and everything is where you left it.
